Paul-Ryan originally trained as an actor and graduated from drama school in 2008.
Recent directing credits include; The Juliet Letters (a newly devised installation piece based on the concept album by Elvis Costello and The Brodsky Quartet), A Serious Business (Luton Culture/Tour), Tony Harrison's The Nativity (St James's Church-Site specific), The Outback Games (Edinburgh Festival), Star Jumps Are Not Essential (The Lost Theatre), Touched (Bernie Grant Arts Centre), James Joyce's The Dead, Heathers, Ourselves Alone, Into The Woods, Parade (Mountview).
Acting credits include; A Song For Jenny, The Village (BBC), Billy in Billy Liar (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Little Voice (Bolton Octagon), A Christmas Carol (Birmingham REP) Everybody Loves a Winner (Royal Exchange), Paul-Ryan also originated the lead role of Jack in Nikolai Foster's original musical production of All The Fun Of The Fair (UK No.1 Tour).
Paul-Ryan is the Artistic Director of the newly founded theatre company, common state.
Paul -Ryan is Currently touring the U.K as associate director on Strangers On a Train for ATG (UK No.1 Tour).
